  1. Hall Rentals are accepted on a first come, first serve basis and are not secured until a signed rental agreement plus 50% of the rental fee and a 25% damage deposit (see 5.) are received. Payments may be made by cash, credit card, or cheque payable to Blyth 14/19 Inc. If the booking is within 2 weeks of the event, cash will be required for both the rental fees and damage deposit.     
  2. Cancellations: The 50% fee and damage deposit are refundable up to 14 days prior to the contracted date. 25% of the rental fee will be forfeited for cancellations within 14 days of the event.     
  3. It is the responsibility of the Renter to obtain Event Insurance and to email a copy to info@Blyth1419.ca prior to the rental date.  
  4. Full payment for the contract is due on the day of the rental.
  5. Damage Deposit: A damage deposit calculated at 25% of the rental fee is required at the time of the booking. The deposit will be retained until after the function has been held and the premises have been inspected by a Blyth 14/19 Inc. representative. The deposit will be returned if the Hall is free of damage, no theft has occurred, no excessive cleaning is required, no extra supervision was needed (due in part to excessive noise). All garbage left behind will be charged at a rate of $6 per bag unless tags are purchased for $2 per tag. These extra charges will be assessed by the Hall representative.  The deposit is not part of your rental fee.     
  6. Blyth 14/19 and its agents are not responsible for any items or articles that may be brought into the building or left there at any time.    
  7. The Renter shall ensure that entertainment at the function shall cease no later than 1:00 a.m. and that the premises are vacated no later 2:00 am. 
  8. The bar closes no later than 1:00 am. It is the responsibility of the Renter to clean off the tables and clean up debris, failing which a fee of $50 will be charged.  
  9. The Renter will indicate the arrangement and number of tables & chairs to be set up by our staff, with at least 24 hours notice of such set up.
  10. It is agreed that, if more space is used by the Renter than that which was originally booked or if the Renter occupies the premises for a period longer than booked, the Renter will be billed accordingly.     
  11. The Renter will conform to the requirement of all municipal, provincial and federal laws, by-laws, rules & regulations with respect to the operation of and performances given on the premises. In particular, the licensee will ensure that all Occupational Health and Safety Act requirements and SOCAN tariff requirements are met. Further, the Renter will assume entire responsibility for damages, loss, cost or expenses arising from its occupancy whatsoever which shall be sustained by the Renter or by anyone brought onto the premises by or at the behest of the Renter during the currency of the agreement and thereby shall indemnify and save harmless Blyth 14/19 Inc., its employees, servants or agents therefrom, including legal fees on a solicitor-client basis.
  12. Renters must be at least 19 years of age.     
  13. Blyth 14/19 Inc. reserves the right to refuse rental to anyone.    
  14.  The applicant signing the agreement will be responsible for the conduct and supervision of all persons in attendance and to see that all persons adhere to the regulations in this agreement, including the regulation not to exceed capacity of building.
